Silverado 1500 has 8 distinct trim levels: WT, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, and High Country. From the base 285 hp V6 to the massive 6.2L V8 that churns out 420 hp, Chevrolet offers a wide array of motors to choose from.
The table below comprises of the engines of Silverado 1500:
|4.3L LV3 GM EcoTec3 4300 V6||285 hp (213 kW) @ 5300 RPM||305 lb-ft (414 N⋅m) @ 3900 RPM|
|2.7 L L3B Turbocharged I4||310 hp (231 kW) @ 5600 RPM||348 lb-ft (472 N⋅m) @ 1500 RPM|

For the 0-60 mph test, the 2019 Silverado stands competitively against Ford F-150 and Ram 1500. The Silverado Trail Boss was able to quickly accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.4 seconds compared to the RST’s 6.6 seconds. For the quarter-mile test, it clocked 94.6 mph and took 15 seconds to cross the mark.
Ride and Handling
The 2019 Chevy Silverado gains in size and visual appearance but loses much weight-up to 450 pounds in few cases. In spite of posing many definite dimensions, it feels much lighter than it looks. Over the bumps and potholes, the ride has been improved and the added Sport Mode feature enhances the grip at corners.
Moreover, despite the size increase, the truck maneuvers easily. But the feel of brake pedals is neither persuading, nor paltry – it’s just kind of present. The steering experience is more drawn out than ever before and the steering response feels precise, which further enhances its driving experience.
The ride quality for both the 2019 versions of Silverado LTZ and Silverado High Country are alike. The only feature that escalates this experience is the 6.2L motor with the 10-speed transmission. This transmission feels a lot more refined and smoother than the regular one and makes shifting an easy task.
2019 Chevy Silverado Fuel Economy
The 2019 Chevy Silverado equips the new 5.3L V-8 motor with the new Dynamic Fuel Management Mechanism, which uses cylinder deactivation to save gas and offers a combined MPG figure of around 17 mpg.
2019 Chevy Silverado Interior
The 2019 Silverado’s interior is well-outfitted, various colors to choose from, a variety of textures, and different materials at hand. Some of the interiors will differ according to the version of Silverado you choose. The next-gen Silverado gives space, satisfaction and solace to the very preceding level with a cabin with a benefaction of more rear leg board, storage capacity and elevated climate controls.
The 2019 Chevy 2019 Silverado has these dashboard features:
– Cut-outs for all vents, sensor, buttons
– Zig-Zag stitching
The 2019 Chevy Silverado’s Poly carpet Dashboard is custom-tailored and laid out to fit perfectly. The dash mat has various cut-outs for sensors. This protects and gives the best line of defense against inescapable cracking, fading, and searing of the cover. It has a zig-zag stitch, which is attached to the contour of the dash surface. The presence of Velcro attachments makes it easy to add or remove. Finally, it has a 1-year warranty.
The all-new 2019 Chevy Silverado has an inclined panel inbuilt with the center console which doubles as a wireless phone charger. It is a clever feature that doubles as a wireless phone charger and enables at-a-glance notifications. The charging panel takes up about half of the console bin’s space.
Seat Quality & Comfort
Once inside the cabin, the driver’s seat proves to be a nice place from which you can appraise this ferocious beast. With a commanding view of the road, it offers a great feel to the driver. Riding as a passenger was less fulfilling since the low mounted right front seat gave no height adjustment. There are no power adjustments and comes with a lever to recline the seatback.
The rear cabin is extremely spacious and can easily accommodate 6-footers. From the headroom to shoulder space and legroom, it was as vast as Kansas Savanna.
It feels great to have a truck equipped with side step rails and windshield pillar mounted handles as they help in getting in. Once inside, it is easy to get a good driver’s position with the 10-way power adjustment seat. Heated front seats, as well as steering wheels, come in handy during longer strides.
However, the front passenger seat came with manual adjustments, which is a let down for what its price is. The front passenger seat is manually is adjustable and also doesn’t come with height adjustment. Yet, these few things aren’t noticeable due to the other qualities. In the rear cabin, passengers get a good amount of space to sit and relax. Though the seats are plain and flat, they are comfortable and easily accommodate adults.
The 2019 Chevy Silverado has updated styling, comes equipped with advanced technology and impressive capabilities. Inside this truck is the new standard Chevrolet Infotainment system, a navigation system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto and 4G LTE with WiFi hotspot. Other standard features include a 7-inch colored touchscreen, AM/FM, Bluetooth connectivity and voice commands.
Chevrolet also offers some optional packages which add or replace the standard features with an 8-inch touchscreen. HD radio, and SiriusXM, OnStar services.
