One of the most affordable cars produced by the GM is the upcoming 2021 Chevy Spark. This minicar, which is arguably in the segment of one, grew sales by thirty-two percent in the US and twenty-one percent in Canada with its 2018 and 2019 models. Also, the 2020 Chevy Spark trims didn’t have any changes in comparison to 2019, except for the addition of the Special Edition model. However, there are many changes in the upcoming 2021 Chevy Spark.
Although the 2021 Chevy Spark come will come in the unchanged L, LT, ACTIV, and 2LT trims; however, their exteriors will be different. GM is no longer manufacturing the Orange Burst, and Raspberry colors for the 2021 Chevy Spark trims. Instead, GM has replaced these colors with the new Cayenne Orange and Mystic Blue. Another significant change that GM has incorporated within the upcoming 2021 Chevy Spark is the deletion of the RPO Code SDV 15” aluminum black-painted wheels. The company deleted this wheel because it was an LPO-level item.
However, GM has many untouched characteristics, that were previous year models in the upcoming 2021 Chevy Spark. The vehicle interior consists of the same design, five-passenger seating configuration, and tech as in the 2020 Chevy Sparks. Also, the interior color combination of Jet Black & Jet Black, Jet Black & Dark Anderson Silver Metallic, and Jet Black & Caribbean Blue remains the same in the 2021 Chevy Sparks.
Moreover, the engine and drive train mechanism of the 2021 Chevy Spark trims is similar to the 2020 Chevy Spark. It consists of a 1.4-liter I-4 LV-7 engine that generates 98 hp and 94 lb-ft torque. The 2021 Chevy Spark is available in two transmissions, namely, Automatic CVT and five-speed manual. The 2021 Chevy Spark is the second generation of the 2019 refreshed models that were introduced for the 2016 models. There were many rear and front adjustment made in the updated 2019 models in comparison to the 2016 trims of the Chevy Spark.
The front end changes made in the 2019 Chevy Spark that are part of the 2021 Chevy Spark include restyled fascia, grille, and headlamps. These were modified in the LS, 1LT, and 2LT trims. Additionally, projection-styled lights and daytime LED running lamps were added in the 2019 Chevy Spark 1LT and 2LT trims. These features are also available in the same trims of the upcoming 2021 Chevy Spark.
In 2019, GM removed the Sorbet, Brimstone, Mint, and Splash exterior colors. These are still not coming in the upcoming 2021 Chevy Spark trims. Also, GM introduced the new Orange Burst, Passion Fruit, Caribbean Blue, and Raspberry exterior colors for the 2019 Chevy Spark trims. As we have discussed before, GM has replaced these four colors with new Cayenne Orange and Mystic Blue in the upcoming 2021 Chevy Spark models. GM even added the Low-Speed Forward Automatic Braking under the Driver Confidence Package of the 2019 Chevy Spark. This feature is the same in the upcoming 2021 Chevy Spark. By and large, there are many features of the 2021 Chevy Spark that are similar to the 2019 Chevy Spark trims. However, there are many changes introduced in the upcoming 2021 Chevy Spark trims.
