In December 2019, the “Corvette Experience” program was opened by the National Corvette Museum. This program allowed attendees to drive the all-new 2020 C8 Corvette Stingray Z51 on the NCM Motorsports Park circuit. The race track has a length of 3.2 miles. Attendees could tour the track and go through the lead/follow format.
The attendees will be given instructions on driving directions of the 2020 C8 Corvette Stingray Z51. Moreover, they were given lunch and a VIP guide tour of the National Corvette Museum. Unfortunately, the “Corvette Experience” program was costed $799 per day. The experience seemed to be a costly affair for many sports car enthusiasts.
However, to compensate for the budgetary problems, the National Corvette Museum also had the “Corvette Touring Laps” program for the Corvette fans. The value of this program was $300, and buyers could take four laps of the NCM Motorsports Park circuit, which has 23 turns. Also, the buyers went through the same lead or follow format, already in the “Corvette Experience” program.
In February 2020, the National Corvette Museum mentioned that it had ordered seven 2020 C8 Corvette Stingray Z51 for the “Corvette Experience” and “Corvette Touring Laps” program. The first session of these programs is going begin from March 26th, and the National Corvette Museum is expected to receive a few 2020 C8 Corvette Stingray Z51’s by then.
As mentioned before, The “Corvette Experience” and “Corvette Touring Laps” programs will be an excellent opportunity for Corvette and supercar fans to drive a sports car on the NCM Motorsports Park race track. However, the NCM Motorsports Park will be one of the first driving schools to receive the 2020 C8 Corvette Stingray Z51 for instructional purposes.
The booking of these programs can be made on specific dates in March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, and November. Furthermore, only attendees and buyers that are eighteen and older with a valid driver’s license can participate in these programs. The participants will need to come wearing long pants and close-toed shoes. But, helmets will be provided to the participants.
Buyers and attendees should know that the 2020 C8 Corvette Stingray Z51 incorporates a 6.2-liter Small Block LT2 V8 engine that generates 490 to 495 hp and 465 to 470 lb-ft torque. The chassis of the car is capable of handling an increase in power or torque.
The 2020 C8 Corvette Stingray Z51 has an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and electronic rear differential. The differential works perfectly works by stabilizing back end on corners or turns even upon the disabling of the stability control system. This feature is uniquely helpful in making 90 degree turns at shopping mall exit lanes, the gas station driveways, etc. and helps to avoid wheelspin.
The 2020 C8 Corvette Stingray Z51 can accelerate from 0 to 60-mph in merely three seconds. The 2020 C8 Corvette Stingray Z51 has a maximum speed limit of 194-mph. Aside from the advanced safety features, the 2020 C8 Corvette Stingray Z51 has numerous assistance features like blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic alert, forward parking camera, etc. that buyers and attendees can experience during their laps. We hope all participants have a memorable tour and driving experience.
