The Chevrolet C8 Corvette is one of the most anticipated launches of 2020 as it takes a stark departure from the already amazing looking C7 Corvette with a much more balanced and symmetric design since the C7 featured quite a prominent nose-heavy extended hood line. The C8 looks extremely purposeful and features exterior design elements that have been very well received by the public. But what if we told you that the C8 Corvette Stingray has been rendered in such an avatar that might just make it that much more meaner looking when it rolls down the street.
How could that be you ask?- A WIDEBODY KIT.
Street Hunter Designs has rendered the standard C8 Corvette Stingray with a widebody kit that looks nothing short of drool-worthy and is worthy of being put up on any enthusiast’s wall. Youtuber and Instagram Influencer @tjhunt_ has recently posted four images of the Street Hunter Designs widebody C8 Corvette Stingray from varying perspectives which has left us with massive ride goals. The aesthetic of the widebody C8 Corvette that is featured in the images is much more aggressive when compared to the standard silhouette, An over the top GT-Style rear wing sits atop the boot which is glorified by the extended fender flares housing the ultra-wide tires. The wheel design featured in the images is a multi-spoke type alloy that looks eerily similar to V210RE’s from RAYS and looks extremely fresh with the polished outer deep dish. The motorsport vibe is extremely prominent in the render while the Corvette is slammed to the ground in terms of its stance. “Once we take delivery of our C8 we can get 100 percent scans of the car and get to work immediately,” is what @tjhunt_ wrote alongside the renders on his Instagram post. “Our whole team at Street Hunter has been busting their a**es and none of this would have been possible without them.” He added.
With regards to the potential that the C8 Corvette Stingray has in terms of its modifications, the presented renders are a small piece of a much bigger cake. Street Hunter Designs has also made it known that the renders are essentially the initial version of their final product dubbed the “V1” which implies that they are going to refine the design by at least some margin before it becomes available to the public. If we were to give our opinion on it though, we have nothing to complain about and would grab up the kit in a heartbeat due to the sheer oomph it brings to the vehicle.
The widebody kit coupled with some inevitable mods in the form of forced induction kits, better aero, stickier tires, ECU remaps and maybe ethanol conversions are certainly going to open the taps on the C8 Corvette Stingray and turn it into one seriously mean machine. For us, the Widebody kit from Street Hunter Designs is a starting point of conceptualizing a vehicle that might just be one of the best machines to come out of the GM lineup of vehicles.
Is the widebody kit eye-candy to everybody’s eyes? Well, that is something that is always subjective but we would place our bets on you loving it!
